Day 3

Day 3 was Plagiarized by wickedwitch81 from Sabrina Jeffries' book "Married to the Viscount." We have hard evidence that ten pages were taken word for word, with only the characters names changed. We were alerted by liza1131, whom we can't thank enough for her vigilance. Shortly after discovering this plagiarism, lillithj informed us that wickedwitch81 also plagiarized her story "In the ( Read more... )

That was a really "wicked" chapter!! :D You really out did yourself, Wicked Witch!! Some really hot scenes!! Oh My! Great writing as always from you. Great transition from horny Draco to overreacting Draco to sadistic Draco to mean Draco all in one day! Whew! He really does overreact when it comes to Harry in such a short period of time listening in on their conversation.

Your writing is very entertaining and so easy to read. Loved the rubbing the of the belly for the dyspepsia. Draco is so thoughtful as those hands go lower and lower. "You see how bad my dyspepsia is?" *giggle* Great bantering back and forth between feeling each other up. We expect nothing less from these two. The custard smearing! "I want to be inside you..You're already inside me." *more giggle*

And then Draco leaving Hermione's body still throbbing after watching the Hotel porn. How could he? Could go on and on!
Another wonderful chapter from you talented group of gals!!

I wouldn't have noticed this, but I read this chapter earlier today and I'm reading "Married to the Viscount" by Sabrina Jeffries right now and a part of the book sounded awfully familiar to me. I didn't really realize until the line "have you any idea what it's like to live with heaven dangling always beyond your reach?" hit me; I thought it was a lovely line in the fic and I was quite surprised to read it in the novel ( ... )

I've read on, and yet another scene was familiar: the dyspepsia scene. It's in pages 315-326 of "Married to the Viscount" by Sabrina Jeffries. From "But she found herself casting him furtive glances every so often." up to "'I should have followed my impulse. It would have saved us years of frustration.'"

Yeah, but she didn't put a disclaimer on saying it was taken from Sabrina Jeffries. She also copied word for word, which is vastly different from you or me writing a story just using the characters. If I opened Prisoner of Azkaban and retype the whole thing and don't put a word about it belonging to anyone else, that's plagiarism.

JK Rowling actually likes fanfiction (apart from anything X rated) and encourages it... she says it helps her with her own writing and she likes to see what other people make of her characters. Fanfiction is totaly acceptable because you are saying that the characters and created environment isn't yours... you are just expressing something that you would like to see.. like people writing Harry/Hermione fics even though it's not canon etc... Fanfiction and plagiarisim are two different things, if not separated by a distinct line... the fact that someone is trying to pass off something as their own whilst the other is just paying homage to something he/she adores.

(and i'm not calling anyone stupid... i just think that they are two different things)

and fanfiction isn't so bad. you just have to find the right kind of fics. Don't diss til you have tried it. extensively
