Work, mummies and paper moons.

Alright, so yesterday wasn't as great as the first day. Lately the other intern and I have just been doing comparative reading, and since I came in when the two bosses were busy with individual projects (and one of them getting ready to get married this weekend), there hasn't been too much for me to do. There's the occasional corrections that I ( Read more... )

Wow, that was a fucking long post, think I should put up an lj-cut?

But yeah, technically a walking mummy IS a zombie, since it's undead and all that. But I guess we distinguish it from zombies just because it's a mummy and exotic enough to have its own category. You don't need to eat brains to be a zombie, you just need to be unnable to think and unnable to focus on more than one task. Too much though put into that...

And yeah, Gretchen is pretty cool, I like both my bosses. And thanks for the link, I could reallly use it. I'm really thinking I need to find a class that'll teach me editing skills. I'm taking one next semester that's supposed to do it, but I don't know if it'll help me practice copyediting or proofreading...

Love you.

I don't think we have "editing" classes at UT, but I'm taking a class that's supposed to really work on your writing, and you edit your classmates papers apparently. And the professor used to work in publishing, so I can talk to him about what I need. The other intern actually took a class that brushed her up in proofreading, so I feel she's more qualified than I am, which I find annoying. :)
