It's funny how 21st century human beings are meant to be civilised, priding ourselves on being "nice" and "decent", yet 700 can be killed in a stampede. Like in The Island where "the only thing you can be sure of is that people will do anything they can to survive." I find it strange that things such as Hurricanes are noted under 'Acts of God' in insurance terms, whether the insuree believes in God or not. Surely if they don't believe in God they are perfectly within their rights to claim compensation for 'natural disasters' as such ( ... )

I agree...if people are going to blaim God for the bad things that happen to them, then they should take the time to thank him for the good things as well. It's just hypocritical do one and not the other.
