so true mel
when i got to be a goddess(i was only dressed up) I felt so priviliged to represent her and they did a prayer and song ting just for me becuase I was her that day. I know im not making much sense but valuing how important all the gods are and above all their power and abilities amaze me. ButI know that when I get opportunites like that I try to ignore those constant fall backs and appreciate the few but very special things that happen in my life and my family. For without them I would not be here nor would I be such a successful individual who is become motivated and inspired person because of them

im hardly ever on lj but i always have time to read your comments, they are always significant to me because they are reasoned and unique to you

you must be thinking that girl talks and types a lot of information-shut her up!!!!!!!!

bye

love ya xx

That's kinda funny coz i've been thinking about "representing" God... another difference between Hindus and Christians it seems is that because Jesus died, came back to life again and lives in us, we "represent" God to the world everyday of our lives... but nobody does a prayer and a song for us. Hehe.

You are very motivated and inspired =)

well they werent praying for me!!(ya i wish) but it was becuase I was representing her they were praying to her through me!
We just have different events within Hinduism and appreciating them in such a way was like-amazing!!
I got to teach the children at guides on wednesday about Diwali and they were so understanding. For girls that age, they gave me the patience and input that some adults dont even give me. It felt so rewarding sharing my learning and for them all to participate in their learning. Some of the questions they asked me clearly demonstrated a high level of understanding!!
One quote from a guide leader person:
'its so beautiful that people you share your whole life's with (her referring to people I had been to school with and known all my life) have such different beliefs.' Yeah it is so beautiful that we all seem the same at face value but behind this we can all be different individuals!

its all about understanding.......i have no time for ignorance....

oooooo..might do an lj on this!!
