When Sarah finally comes to, it's with a sharp pain in the back of her skull and her hands bound behind her back with a rough rope. She blinks slowly, the brightness of the room hurting.

The running water catches her attention, but it sounds almost far away. She blinks again, trying to make sense of the room. "...wha?"

There's a squeak of protest from the taps as the flow of water is stopped, an almost full tub now left for the moment as he hears Sarah stir and shifts his attention towards her. Stepping in front of her view, Le Chiffre crouches down to eye level with a polite smile, hands on his knees as he greets her far too casually, "Afternoon. How's the head?"

His voice sounds loud to her ears and she blinks, looking at him. This is Milliways, she's supposed to be safe here. Not tied up, not suffering from a painful headache, not frightened that she's gotten herself into another situation that she might not get out of.

She's suddenly reminded of Styre and that fear device, and of Devros and the pain machine. And those thoughts scare her. But the scenes change quickly in her head as she remembers following the man in front of her down the hall, everything going black shortly afterwards.

"You hit me," she states, staring at him. "Why?"

Unlike Styre or Devros, this man doesn't have strange machines to scare his captives. And unlike so many Bond villains that are to follow him, Le Chiffre likes nothing more than the simple yet effective methods.

"Because," he begins to answer, standing up again as he reaches over to test the water's temperature (he was considerate like that) before flicking his wet hand towards her, "not everyone appreciates being followed. I thought you might care for a few lessons in manners."
