RP: With Villiers

Apr 05, 2008 20:13

Working odd hours for his entire life has given Le Chiffre the ability to go days with minimal amounts of sleep. Admittedly, when he can get excessive amounts of snoozing (which is everyday, usually) he'll grab it, but just every once and a while, his body decides an early internal wake up call is needed ( Read more... )

Exactly eight hours from when he drifted off to sleep, Villiers wakes up. Opens his eyes a bit blearily, and...

Huh. There's no arm possessively holding him close, nor a snoring Le Chiffre cradled against him.

Pat the bed, like a girl on a one-night stand. No Le Chiffre. Bed is cold. Villiers is confused, and instead of waking up slowly and relaxedly, sticks his head up into the not-warm air.

...huh?

Good timing on both their parts, considering Le Chiffre's just about done with his breakfast making. But after so long, he's got used to Villiers rather precise sleeping pattern.

And so, just as Villiers is doing his confused peering, Le Chiffre is appearing back in the bedroom, tray in hand and already dressed, even adding a smug sounding, "Morning!"

Villiers even gets a light kiss against his forehead once the tray has been carefully balanced on the bedside table. That will be sorted out in a minute.

Waking up confused does not make for a particularly aware Villiers. Normally he's fine. Normally he has several minutes to orient himself and wake up nicely and happily.

Today, his brain is mostly mush as he looks at Le Chiffre most curiously.

"Morning," he says in response, rubbing his eyes.

"You're up early," he states rather obviously. "And...you cooked."

It's a rather odd mix of surprise, just-woke-up, and good-morning-love in his voice. His brain is not functioning yet. Please forgive him.

"Mm hmm," he replies with just a hint of amusement, for sleepy Villiers is adorable.

"Don't seem quite so surprised, my dear. I'm not entirely incapable of doing so," he adds with a smirk, sliding back onto the bed and balancing the tray between them. It's quite a large tray, in fact, because it has to be able to hold the mass amount of breakfast that's been made, what with toast, bacon and several other fried bits, cereals, juice, coffee, tea, pastry things, fruit with (of course) strawberries, along with plenty more. See, if Villiers doesn't want anything, Le Chiffre will happily consume it all anyway. He hasn't eaten yet.
