persistant or foolishly pigheaded?

I'm going to say a lot of stuff people have been too afraid to say for whatever reason. I'm not putting anyone down and I like the people I might end up mentioning but there are some things that are relevant to this post and I'm going to speak freely, as everyone should ( Read more... )

I go out once a month. Maybe twice. I enjoy the tunes, have a beer, a smoke, see people I don't really get to see very often because of my schedule. And it pretty much ends there ( ... )

this i why i like you. the things you say make people take deep breaths and chill out.

this post may have included a lot of ranting on my part but all i was hoping for was a little advice on where i might spin next. ;)

as you may or may not see when i'm done unscreening all of these comments by responding to them (or not), people who aren't djs and have never even worked in any of the clubs i've mentioned like to get all riled up and "involved" and i think that, over all, it's kind of odd, if not funny... and sometimes even sad.

i'm glad you enjoyed my night at passeport and it would be awesome if you could come out and have that beer and that smoke and catch up with your friends while remaining as blessedly neutral and nonchalant as you have been, if ever i start up again, elsewhere. :D

have a great day, mister!

p.s.
please don't ever request deine lakaien ;P

By the way...Niko est aktarus

hey mister. sorry it took me forever to respond to this. i guess i've been thinking a lot about all of this and i wanted to wait until some things were clear to me before i returned to these comments.

Can't say I spin the same shit totally, I mean, I do, I have my select songs which I push on a weekly basis, becuz they are the songs that get ME off, so I wanna spin 'em, simple as that. The other stuff, the overplayed garbage like "Blue Lights" for instance, are requests, I can't help that, I try to play everyones request. And I am introducing new shit, but, there's a level to be reached, I'll play new songs, (and the dancefloor will be dead or so-so), so I'll go onto the known stuff. I mean, people pay $5 - $6 to go to the night, I think they want to dance, so who am I to just give them new and unknown stuff, and have them brood in a corner all night?a very good point. some people (and i've done this, myself) get really proud and even anal when it comes to playing requests because they feel it tarnishes all the hard work they've put ( ... )
