Firekeeper wasn't even really at the point of looking at any of the rides yet, being too distracted by the sights, sounds, smells... all of it, really.
"What," she pointed to someone dressed up in a giant cartoon mouse costume, "is that?"
"They're not supposed to be real animals," Tahiri said quickly. "They're all characters in the park . . . um, kids come up and take pictures with them and things like that. Or --"
She watched as a middle-aged couple all but charged Mickey for a photo op.
"I think," Firekeeper said slowly, "I understand." Not that she'd be indulging in anything like that herself anytime soon, thank you.
Blind Seer glanced over at the artificial 'river' with the boat docked at the edge and gave Firekeeper a quizzical look. "No," she scowled, giving him a shove.
Tahiri watched the exchange and chuckled softly. "I know this sounds strange, but it's almost like meeting some of the figures from some of your legends, for them. And don't worry --" she leaned over to elbow Firekeeper lightly -- "I wasn't going to make you get on the big boat, even though the water's really only a couple of feet deep. There's a few rides with little boats, though, if you're up for them."
