Jaina had actually managed to get a good amount of sleep last night/this morning. Well, a good amount for her, anyway. Blame exhaustion after the last couple weeks. So when she was finally awake awake, she picked up her comm.

Oh, look, an incoming call!

Tahiri grinned when she saw who was calling and propped herself up against the pillows, because sleepy or not there was no way she was letting this one ring through to voicemail.

"It's unbelievably good to be able to say hi, Jaina."

Seriously, even if Jaina yelled at her for disappearing temporarily, it'd be welcome right now.

"Tell me about it. If you ever blink out of existence again, I'm kicking your ass," Jaina greeted her.

"It's also unbelievably a relief to hear that from you," Tahiri replied without missing a beat, laughing. "Not the least because I know you'd do it. Does this mean I'll have to schedule a trip back to Fandom at some point just so you can frown at me in person?"

Ben called her back in the afternoon. "Jedi Veila, don't you do that again."

"Do I get a choice in the matter, Jedi Skywalker?" She'd gotten enough rest by now to manage a decent joke, and she was laughing as she asked. "Hi, Ben."

"Ho, Tahiri," he said. "It's good to hear your voice again."

"Likewise." Tahiri grinned up at the ceiling. "And now I can stop being sorry I didn't get a chance to give you more of a hard time in that last message."

She hadn't been. She just liked teasing him.
