Am thinking about creating a LiveJournal community just for UK (and Ireland XD) anime fans.

Sound a good idea? No? Should I maybe find something else to waste my codes on? XD

What would it be for? Just for meets and cons and stuff? I'd join, either way. ^_^

UK anime fans to sit and waffle and be apart from US fans. :) Nothing *against* US fans but the fandoms are so totally different in many ways.

Also, there are a *ton* of Americans on LJ. It's always exciting for me when I come across a Brit. This way, I can see them all the time! :D

Ah, I see. I used to hang around in alt.fan.team-rocket where 99% of the posters were UK based, then a bunch of us (digignome, jdigital and my bloke chouzaru) all jumped on the LJ bandwagon. Plus aeres13 and rapacity are another two UK based anime fans I met through various sources.

Plus, I spent a huge amount of time in uk.religion.pagan a while back and a bunch of my friends from there have all joined LJ too. But I definitely agree that it's nice to find another limey, eh? ^_^

I think it's a good idea. I'm always really happy when i find a British LJ! It'd be nice to get to know Brits who like anime.

You don't know me but I think it would be a wise idea to take care of your other communities like updating het_names before taking on another community. *shrugs* Just a thought.
