[Hermione doesn't know how she got roped into this, but it doesn't seem like a terrible idea, per se, so she just goes with it. Although, being who she is, she can't help but feel quietly flustered at the way he stares at her, and she forces herself to try and break the silence.]

[ Human or not, he has to laugh at her reaction. Perhaps wizards and witches aren't immune to the natural animal-magnetism vampires have, either. After all, she was quite lovely too; he certifiably didn't play hard to get when they started dancing. ]

It's a waltz. A slow waltz. One of the waltzes Mother would have disapproved greatly of, unless Mireille had been dancing it with the Grand Duke's nephew himself. They are both good dancers, of course, as is expected of anyone walking the ballrooms of high society.

Most importantly, however... When he holds her like this, she can pretend that she never left.

The waltz is so familiar to him at this point, he doesn't really have to think about his feet or anything else. So his focus is on her almost entirely.

His hold on her tightens a bit as they turn. He pulls her closer, hand straying perhaps a little further down than what is proper.
