If you think this was bad, just wait until watchmen comes out. It makes this movie look like skipping through the daisies.

Also, the Dark Knight joker character in this film borrows heavily from the joker portrayed in the "The Killing Joke" (from wikipedia Which was written back in 1988 (where "the Joker intends to drive Gotham City Police Commissioner James Gordon insane to prove that the most upstanding citizen is capable of going mad after having 'one bad day.'" from wikipedia). So although the movie producers made a conscious decision to use this joker, the concepts at least aren't knew.

I thought the movie was really disturbing too. I do appreciate that they used so many shades of gray. It was a nice change from al superhero/comic book movies that are much more black and white.

That's interesting about the different Jokers. Obviously I need to do better at keeping up with my comic book characters. ;-)
