Ah, let me just see if I have this right. Apparently we are all somehow kidnapped and brought to this place and confined to one village. On top of that, at their whims, our captors inflict upon us all sorts of situations ranging every single spectrum of annoyance people have ever been clever enough to create words for. Yet now they claim that our ( Read more... )

Ahh, the joys of being held captive.

This is pretty normal stuff by now.

Normal? I've been told a lot of interesting things, but that I might be one day forced to endanger myself for someone else's benefit wasn't something that anyone saw fit to mention?

Heh. Actually I was mostly referring to the whole them being selfish thing. The other thing? Not quite as normal! Though it has happened a few times now.

If they weren't being selfish with this whole elaborate set up, I'd certainly be worried for what they thought they'd be achieving with this. There is hardly any scientific method at work here, and if there were some third option for what they intended to do, I can only imagine the insane mind it would take to come up with it.

Hm. While I realize the concept of "volunteering" is much too mundane for people such as them... Well, I suppose a bit of courtesy would be too much to ask.

Then they force us to do them favors. They have quite a bit of nerve, don't they?

Mostly likely they're afraid.

It is rather unfortunate that we are left in a situation such as this one. I would not be so willing to assist them in their affairs that happen to involve us because we're affiliated with them.

However, I'm not eager to die here either. So if it means we have to fight if only to survive, even a confinement like this one, then I will.

[It was terrible, he would agree.]

Wouldn't you say it's suspiciously convenient that the one place they need help just happens to be in a position critical to our survival?

The behavior undoubtedly raises questions that I would very much like answers to. Although it isn't impossible for an enemy to want to strike a vulnerable area of province.

Maybe if I were to forgive them, I'd say something like, 'They only asked us this time because it matters to us now,' however they didn't do much asking, did they?

Eeeh~ It seems more than a "little" selfish to me, Hitagi-chan.

You, too, seem rather selfish. A spy, perhaps?

No, that's not it. [That's all flat. A bit of yan? Naaah...]

I'm too honest to be anything like that, riiight, Ojou-chan?

It's infuriating, isn't it?

Hm, a bit too strong of a word for my liking. That would imply a lacking of self-restraint if emotions were taken to such strong measures, though there are likely many here who lack such restraint.

screwthegods December 13 2010, 04:34:18 UTC
Is that so? I would think that the restraint would come into play when it came to acting on those emotions, rather than simply feeling them.

To feel so strongly would belittle situations of a worse nature. One could call it childish at best to believe that this is worth such a strong reaction, internal or otherwise.
