Alya can't really say anything about being busy when she is really just as bad. She answers the door after a minute or two, with a half-smile and shoes still on. "I was wondering when you'd finally get here," she says, lightly, "come in."
She assumes he can shut the door behind himself, and turns to move back into the living room.

"Fifteen minutes," Aloysius protests, having run late but not as late as he sometimes does leaving work. He closes the door, carefully, and unbuttons his coat on his way through to her living room.

"I make most people pay a grand for ten," Alya reminds him, and then stops in the middle of the room, turning to face Aloysius with her hands on her hips. "Would you like coffee or anything? It might be a little late for that, I suppose."

"Be gentle. I'm paying cash for a house tomorrow afternoon...and water would suit me, actually." He sets his briefcase down, vaguely aware that talking about buying a house does not actually make the rumours of his paternity any less believable.
