I later heard from a friend that they do some sort of time travel to the future plot and I dared to hope that maybe they picked up the future selves plot from the comics, because goddamn that would have been awesome.
The shows answer to my hopes, had I started watching it again, would have been something along the lines of:
"Hahahahaha-no."
I'm just glad my friend said, like, a dozen words, and that was enough to know that there was never anything redeemable about that show anymore.
(Basically, he thought the Ninja Tribunal was okay, but even he didn't like the new plot arc.)
