The things you find out about yourself

I was feeling a bit nostalgic (probably due to the upcoming move) so I did something I normally never do and went back to check on some several-years-old fanfics of mine. While I keep all my old shames on my ff.net account, I don't like reading them. Well, I didn't go that far back...

Anyway.

Don't be too hard on yourself. Some of the best fan fics on the internet are unfinished so you're in good company, and while unfinished fan fics may cause occasional angry fist shakes, headdesk banging, and overly dramatic shouts of "WHY?!!!" aimed at the heavens as long as the stories brought cheer to some and stimulated thought they will leave a legacy behind.

Thanks Rowan :) I have a couple of unfinished fanfics, out of which one is an old shame and the other is a Jak and Daxter fic I still get reviews asking when the next chapter is coming, five years after the last update. That's the one that really makes me feel guilty.

Heh, I remember reading most of those stories back when they were still new prides.

I don't even have my old shame anymore. I lost it when I reinstalled windows on my computer.
The only thing left of it now are a few bits and pieces at RPGC, although I'm not sure if that archive is all that well anymore either.

Haha, ah yes, the good old days when I was dumb enough to use actual in-game spell names in dialogue and was proud of it. Though Mazrim gently knocked that outta me real quick, bless him.

Even if I never want to read those things again I'd be sad if I lost them to a reinstall or anything like that. I have this thing against ever destroying something I've made.

The archive is probably still intact, but it hasn't been updated for years :/ Ah the good old days indeed...

Yeah, I actually checked the archive back when I was removing Mirror Mirror from the net (FF.net basically, but as I said, bits of it are on the RPGC archives too), even though I did save a copy of it when I did. As you said, it just feels wrong to actually "destroy" it, even if I don't want anyone to ever read it again.

It still got destroyed in the end anyway, though. Oh well..
