I have little to say, but I will say that your appearance on Law & Order: SVU was so vivid that the recollections I had from it was of an arc over a few episodes but when I went to check which season it was (so I can maybe rewatch it later or buy the season) I was surprised to find you had only starred in the one *single* episode.
I didn't think when I first saw the news that I would be very affected by it, sad and devastated as I was. I wasn't shocked, in fact I was impressed you had fought for so long. But many more people seem to have had a reaction to your passing that my Facebook feed was filled with their own feelings, emotions, love, hate, grief and whatnot that I couldn't help but sob and let a few tears go. I'm not sure that I've ever cried after a celebrity's (that I've never met) passing.
I guess because you were always there in the background as I grew up, we were shown Hook in primary school before we did our musical Pan the Man, and then in high school we were forced to watch numerous times and study Dead Poet's Society. Your films were kind of a substitute teacher added into the mix.
From all your children animations and movies (Aladdin, Happy Feet, Mrs Doutbfire) to serious like Dead Poet's Society you sure left a varied body of work behind, rest in peace or however you wanted it to be.
