I had a conversation with my grandma the other day, (who once told me I was going to tell for not being a Republican) and I said, "As much as I dislike Bush, he DID NOT use his voodoo powers to blow the hurricane to New Orleans so he could kill the black people."

Bush *did* cause them not to fix their levees, as he whisked away the large sum of money Clinton had allocated to New Orleans for that very purpose, to spend on "Homeland Security."

Tens of thousands of people are homeless and left to pick up what little remains of their lives. Yeah, I'd say our homeland is pretty fucking secure.

ACTUALLY, the money was taken away because the local government in New Orleans wasn't using the money for the levees. Rather, the used it to fill potholes and the such. Now, I'd say that it would have made for sense for the admin to simply tell N.O. to restart the levee process rather than just wisk the money away, but it's not just the federal government. No one had perpared themselves for this chaos.

but everyone in new orleans has know about that problem for a lot longer than clintons term, they just chose to ignore it.

and all the other hurricane warnings we've had for decades.

unfortunately, a lot of people in new orleans do not have the funding to leave the area every time there is a hurricane. Yeah, I hate dubya with a passion of a thousand suns. Yeah he's a fuckass. Yeah he probably should have been more prepared. But hey, shit happens. The hurricane was gonna hit no matter what. How about people just stop their bitching and moaning and do whatever they can. it's too bad some people cave so much under situations of that sort.

As for mario? That was always WAY too advanced for my thinking level.

And I smell like sweat and pot... and beef jerky... I have NO clue why the last one is present. But I guess some concerts smell like beef jerky
