Done following my Last.fm Top Artists chart which is strange and filled with stuff I haven't listened to in ages. But hey it's fun!
1. How did you get into 29? (Thursday)
I believe Miss Chicky was the one who turned me on to Thursday. I had never really been into emo/screamo or even heard it at that point (this was back in 2003) and I still don’t consider myself a huge aficionado of the genre but Thursday is special. For some reason I already knew Cross Out The Eyes but their War All of The Time album is really the one that hooked me.
2. What was the first song you ever heard by 22? (Castlevania - Symphony of the Night Soundtrack)
Well that doesn’t really apply. It was the first time I played Castlevania! Probably in 1998 or something, when I started really getting into gaming and simultaneously discovering that some games had amazing music.
3. What’s your favorite lyric by 33? (Metric)
I haven’t listened to them in a while so let me think… The whole Combat Baby song because I really related to it. With my combat boots and my dogtags, I was a combat baby, even if my fight was just my daily life.
4. What is your favorite album by 49? (Pulp)
I’m gonna cheat and say Hits, their singles collection. That’s lame, right? Ok… Different class, then. It perfectly represents the band.
5. How many albums by 13 do you own? (Apocalyptica)
Only one physically but a couple electronically. Their first one remains the best in my opinion and that’s the only one I own.
6. What is your favorite song by 50? (My Chemical Romance)
Shut up I love them. I am equally obsessed by Ghost of You and Sleep.
7. Is there a song by 39 that makes you sad? (Lacuna Coil)
How is this in my top 50? Odd. I can’t say they make me sad but Christina, the singer, has a very melancholic quality to her voice.
8. What is your favorite album by 15? (Billy Talent)
I like their first eponymous album best.
9. What is your favorite song by 5? (The Final Fantasy Soundtracks)
Well… seeing as these are game soundtracks, I tend to listen to them as a whole and not song by song. If I had to choose, I think I’d pick J-E-N-O-V-A cause it’s fucking awesome and the opening song to Final Fantasy VIII. Epic.
10. Is there a song by 6 that makes you happy? (The score for the Oldboy movie)
Vivaldi’s Winter. It ALWAYS brings up this mental image of a winter scenery where everything in on fire all around but I am slowly, peacefully walking through the flames.
11. What is your favorite album by 40? (Stuart Chatwood)
Weiiiiiird, this is the soundtrack to the old Prince of Persia; Sands of Time game. So um this one! lol
12. What is your favorite song by 10? (Die Ärtze)
2000 Mädchen! It rocks.
13. What is a good memory you have involving 30? (The Prodigy)
My first boyfriend. He’s the one who got me into them and into electronic music in general. I remember we went to see them live (with Bran Van 3000!) at Jarry Park in 1998 and it was fucking awesome. Being young and stupid, we expected people to trash and moshpit all over the place but no, everyone just DANCED. I saw my first glow sticks that night! Haha… It rained too during their set, but not too much, just enough to refresh everyone who was dancing. Awesome memory

So hard! Ordinary Story is the classic. I also love Square Nothing and Satellites & Astronauts a lot.

All Alone or Dirty Harry. They make me dance.

Sadly, never. I wish they would come round here.

This survey is getting embarrassing!! :P My best memory concerning Bon Jovi was getting their cds on my birthday or on Christmas and then spending an entire day transferring it to a tape so that I could listen to it on my walkman. Did you guys ever do that? I loved the entire process. Calculating how many songs you could fit on one side, writing the song titles on the tape labels, writing the band’s name in fancy letters… good times.

This guy wrote music for everything, from Street Fighter II to Parasite Eve, Kingdom Hearts, Legend of Mana and Breath of Fire. So… I really don’t know.

I think it was Butterflies & Hurricanes, played by a friend. The piano got me hooked.

Again; their eponymous debut.

If you’re going “what?!”, it’s those racing games that have cool techno music in them that always have huge lineups at arcade parlors. No, not Initial D, the other ones. ANYWAYS! Stream of Tears or Destination Blackout.

I recommended their 2nd album to a friend who later told me it ended up being his favorite album of that year.

Haven’t heard them in sooo long… Favorite song… Sacrament of Wilderness, I think.

It was definitely before I had the capacity to remember :P The first ones I can actually remember hearing were his contributions to the Labyrinth soundtrack. That movie made me love him (and scared the shit out of me as a kid!!!) . Oh it could have also been Space Oddity cause my dad absolutely loves it and I remember always thinking it sounded so sad, even before I could understand what he was saying.

I only have the first silent hill’s soundtrack on my computer.
