Old pictures fest

Dec 12, 2008 08:41

I haven't posted in a few forevers, and instead of talking about what's up, I give you old pictures of my family, from the 60's and the 70's.

OMG LOOK AT THAT SHIRT XD That gorgeous specimen of 70s manhood would be my father :) My bro is getting "la bascule" for his birthday. The other guy is my uncle I believe and the kid would be a cousin. But just.. THE SHIRT! hahaha

Oh we made quit a big jump back with this one. I give you my mother and her first boyfriend, in 1963. That means my mother is 18 years-old. Her boyfriend was quite handsome!! And as mister fetternity pointed out, this picture shows that I really *do* look like my mom.

Is this adorable or what?!? My big sister, here not very big at all, and mister Santa Claus.

My brother and our cousin on a freaking beautiful car. The 70s had the best cars, man.

Oh man, LMAO! I actually really did lol when I found that pic. You can spot old school beer bottles again, and those flower-plastic-covered chairs that everyone had at one point. As for what my mother is sporting... I'm gonna go ahead and assume it's a hair-dryer.

My whole family! Dad, mom, bro and sis. We had those brown plates a verrry long time. I believe my mom also still had that orange jar you can see on the table. My dad looks as silly as ever, mom is wearing a psychedelic dress and my bro got a Tonka truck!!

My mom, pimpin'it out :D

Hahah I just thought this one was cute ^_^ Shirtless dad covered in cake. Our family tradition has always been to smother the birthday person's face in cake. I have countless pictures of all of us with an icing mask ;)

Just in time for Christmas! Sis and bro in front of the tree. Oooh look at that nice brown leather couch!

Oh man so many things to point out here. First, obviously, my brother's shirt is freaking awesome, same for the high-waisted trousers he's got on. My mom's got her very typical look. Now look in the background; the wallpaper in our kitchen was this giant autumn scenery with waterfalls and trees. For some reason, they were very popular at one point in the 70s but I've never seen them anywhere else then in our home :P

My bro's band! I have no clue if he was any good :P

Oooh I like this one a whole lot. My mother was president of the union at her job for about a decade I believe. This is her, holding the megaphone and shouting what I assume to be revendications for her workers. My mom = fucking awesome.

Oh and another step back in time! My mom (in the white dress) and her sister with their boyfriends. I wish men still dressed like that on a daily basis :)

And here they are, dancing cheek to cheek :)

And again! This one is clearly dated Nov 63 at the top, so my mom was agan 18 years-old. Note the HUGE crucifix on the wall, a must in any Quebecois household at the time.

Daddy and 3 of his sisters. Super cute pic.

Aaaand we end this with my brother who thinks he's Davy Crocket :D
