woah woah woah.

i just read that this place is in Oakland on McCoy and i never knew it existed

and i live in wyckoff, went to indian hills and my best friend lives in franklin lakes right off of mccoy. i drove past this place every day of my life while in high school and this is the first time i've heard of it.

which side of McCoy is on, the entrance closest to 208 or the second entrance? is it by all the abandoned little building near where they are building the synagouge (which they've been building for 5 years).

Yeah, like I said, you'd never know it was there! I THINK it's closer to Colonial Road.... I'm sorry that I can't answer your question a little better...I wasn't the one driving and I'm horrible with directions! We basically just drove down the road and looked for a house that looked abandoned. All you can see is the driveway, which is a little overgrown and we just took a chance and went to see where it led. I'll ask my boyfriend if I'm correct in saying its by Colonial Road and get back to you. :)

Oh lame, just realized McCoy hits Colonial on both ends. So I mean the end closer to 208.

ok, so the first entrance. is it by all the little white abandoned shacks?

also, that graffiti is so lame as the people who drew it are like all obnoxious upper middle class white kids who know nothing of the real world, or of life, beyond dicking around, driving the luxury car mom and dad bought them and smoking weed. lame lame kids and i had to go to school with them for 4 years who think that sort of shit is funny.

Sorry to disappoint, but I don't think there really is a story. :( At least not one that I've heard. Just a random abandoned house. I'll try to go somewhere more interesting next time. :P

abandoned house on the franklin lakes/oakland boarder which will probably get torn down when they finally get to building the synagogue on the corner of mccoy and colonial even though there is a synagogue less than a mile away and they're going to be destroying a huge patch of forested land when there is no land left to develop in bergen county and we ought to preserve what we have left.

i hate everything they build in this area because it means they're tearing down or removing nature or old beautiful homes. i especially hate it when they build huge tasteless mansions.

yeah, it looks like there are some huge houses in the area. http://www.maps.live.com/ Check it out birds eye view.
I want to do a drive by on my lunch break tomorrow but I'm guessing it's a very patrolled area?
