So my friends and I are going to see the Blue Hole this weekend. Considering the Blue Hole really isn't much we were wondering if there is anything else in that area worth seeing. Any info would be great, thannksss!
Awesome! I plan on taking a trip there sometime this summer. I have directions there, but what town is it actually in? Winslow or something? You might wanna ask on the www.weirdnj.com boards, there're people there that will tell you about anything in the town/area.
be careful getting your vehicle stuck in the sand, especially if you're coming in from the woods side (not the highway side). we had to have a flatbed truck winch us out because the sand was sucking my friend's car down towards the water's edge every time we tried to move. it's very deep, loose sand.
which way do you recommend going in? I'm going for my first time this weekend and I've only found somewhat vague directions online. The highway side is the black horse pike, right? And the woods side is... from piney hollow road? Do you know which way do you don't have to wade across the creek? I'm not too into bringing river fording materials.

it's been about 20 or so years since i've been back there, so details are a bit sketchy. this is the closest account to what i remember. i honestly don't remember crossing a creek at all, but then, i wasn't driving. we were in something like a 68 or 69 camaro, too, so it couldn't have been that bad. i think for the pike side you just go in at a path right past the guardrail for the bridge out on piney hollow rd. i mean, instead of the trail in the link i gave you. i'm gonna talk to a few of my friends & see what they have to say. like i said it's been a looooong time for me. my brother used to party back there all the time, too, so i'm sure he'd remember... i think i'd like to go back myself this year, just to see if it's still the same.
