yes! another America/China fanfic. I really like this one, the whole "there aren't even any consequences, so why should I care?" thing kinda makes me think. How do you come up with such good Ideas.

Yay, thank you! :D I think the idea came from playing too much Civ...and me marveling at the immorality of my actions. :P

Thanks! :D

Actually the game doesn't affect anything in reality, but its effect on nations is ...an exception to the rule. I'll explain more in the next chapter(s). :)

The game reset is...I guess think of it as a video game, where after a bad round, you get to start over. XD

What did you do to Canada? D:

Just to clarify - are the nations also in the game, or are they out in the real world ...?

Gah, I love your writing. Can't wait for more =)

(Er, if you need someone to read over your fics, I wouldn't mind? Especially if I get to read chapters in advance hehe)

I looked up 鸡鸭血汤 on the internet because I'll never heard of it. As a public service, I bring you guys the appetizing picture(scroll down) :p Apparently it's good for pregnant women.

My mother likes to eat pig's blood and innards but I am way too squeamish. At most, I just nibble at chicken feet(phoenix claw my foot!) unwillingly when they end up on my plate.

Ahaha, yeah... oh, glorious food. :P

Huh, I never knew it was good for pregnant women, although the fact that it's from Jiangsu would probably explain why I'm familiar with it. ;D (As well as why my grandma was very gung-ho about getting us kids to eat it!)

And whenever "gizzard" or "intestines" show up on menus, I always laugh. :D

Well, it was listed as "tonics for pregnant women", maybe Alfred is pregnant XD It's the old 吃血補血,吃豬腦補腦。

My mother likes to eat pork blood cubes mixed with pig intestines but I think it's stinky. When you buy it outside, you never know if they cleaned the intestines properly.

I find it kinda demoralizing that there are so many of Yao's dishes that I have never heard of simply because his provinces are so diverse.

I just showed this to another comm member: The most glorious representative of HK Cantonese food I have ever seen in miniature.

http://www.mimo.com.hk/html/shokugan.htm

The roast meats, herbal tea and claypot rice are classic Cantonese cuisine which HK shares with mainland.

Ahaha, Alfred being pregnant would be hilarious!

That's actually a good point about the intestines. Half the times I just don't think about the potential dirtiness..:P It's kind of funny because I also find black pudding to be not my taste, and that's basically blood galore.

Oh dang, those are so cute. :D I gotta say I was always into those fake food displays in furniture stores, now I really want some roasted meat... And I'd love to tour China just for food's sake...:P

I forgot to say the dark reddish brown blocks in the soup are the blood, the ingredients also include other chicken innards like liver, gizzard and intestines.

It's Jiangsu cuisine, which explains why I'm not familiar with it.
