I hadn't seen the video from Portugal to Finland before. Thank you for the link, it's amazing!
Although I'm exposed to it a lot anyway as a European, I've been paying more attention to EU politics since I got into Hetalia as well. EU spats are just the best, there is so much melodrama, unintentional (or intentional) offense and petty rivalry.

No problem! C:
I wish we saw more EU news around here -- most of it is pretty superficial, and we don't get to see much analysis.

Aw, it's a shame you don't get to hear much about the EU drama, though understandable of course. It would be of very little interest to the non-Hetalian US audience. Maybe you want to take a look at these two blog indexes? http://www.bloggingportal.eu/reader http://blogactiv.eu/ I can't say how good they are, though, I just found them since I get my EU news the old-fashioned way. Only now did it occur to me that I can't think of a single truly "European" newspaper or TV station to recommend :( There you see our difficulties to speak with one voice displayed in a practical way!
The French-German quarrels are my personal favourites since they're usually about one feeling the other isn't paying enough attention/making decisions without them. Very funny with FraGer shipper viewpoint! XD

Ooh, thanks for those links! I'll be checking them out for more info. :) Hmm, is there no single European newspaper because they don't want to show bias towards (or against) certain languages? And maybe translating across a wide variety of languages is too much work? xD
Yep, their quarrels are just really funny...really reminds me of a soap opera. ;P
