I LOVE YOU
NorCal/B.C. made me laugh so hard. I'm from NorCal myself and I've been up to BC before and soul mates they definitely are!
Please please please do write more stuff about states and provinces, nobody ever writes them and you'd do an amazing job with them xD
It is late over here, I promise I'll comment on the actual content of the fic later, but I had to tell you this right now. Yes.

I would love to write more states and provinces stuff. ;) I was considering writing more NorCal/BC stuff, now I really wanna do it! Though I don't know if I should include it in some larger fic or give that its own thing. :P
And thank you! :D

Write it write it, you'll have me for one [and a lot of other people from this area too, I think] reading it! And you can put it in its own fic or write it separately, I'll be happy either way. (But if you write it as its own thing, then there's more of it for me to squee over, right? xD)
So I like how you showed all the ups and downs in the America-Canada relationship. This is the first time I've really seen America with Canada during the Depression/Dust Bowl, so congrats on an original idea well-executed! :D I particularly liked the two Vietnam-era scenes - the image of America just hanging out at Canada's as a conscientious objector works really works. And then aww, Disneyland tickets will cheer him up :) Loved the 2008 scene too - you really captured all the wild emotion of that time there.
... and I was rereading this in the light of day, and I finally caught the song reference in that 2009 scene I C WHAT U DID THAR. I can't believe I missed that the first time around!

Yay! :D I've met so many locals in this fandom, it's really surprising, haha. I'll probably put it in its own fic, since I actually wrote the beginning this morning. xD
Thanks! :) I was pretty shocked at how many things happened to both countries at the same time. All the stuff that we never learn in school, which is unsurprising considering how little Canada was mentioned in my history texts. (I had no idea that Canada had Japanese internment camps until I checked Wikipedia...)
...oh yes. XD it would be hilarious and painful to have Canada and America sing Bieber and Black together. a mashup. *cough*

We never really hear about Canada after the Colonial era, do we? There's all the stuff about New France and the French and Indian War Seven Years' War, and then we hit the Revolution and that's the end of that. (Canada did? We had a whole unit about the internment camps a few months ago and that wasn't mentioned at all. Says something about our education system, I suppose...)
I'm sorry, I can't see unsee that image, that's just... *dying over here*
