As we close in on the 6th anniversary (in March) of this community, I'm seeing less and less action here. I don't think its because we've exhausted all the possible weird and wonderful things that RI has to offer either. My guess is LJ is fading somewhat ( Read more... )

My vote would be for facebook.
I think a group makes more sense. I think fan pages are more for one person to control and other to comment...I could be wrong in that.

Thanks! I agree about the group, but thought I'd get some input from everyone about what works best for them.

I agree with facebook and I think a group would work better than a fan page as well. They seem to be a "hey everyone come discuss different things" more than a fan page where people just gush over how awesome something is...at least that's my experience.

I have no intention of doing anything with facebook for now, but I know a lot of lj'ers have moved there and let their lj's just sort of die.

I'm still active on LJ, thank you for keeping this community. There's still so much I want to do that's in our archives, like visit the RI desert. I would've never known about that except for this group, and I've lived here most of my life.

I just joined FaceBook, and am fascinated by it, I'd definitely join a Weird RI FaceBook group.

livejournal is going to soon pass.

facebook is probably at its height right now. id say go there and make a group, Im sure youd get a lot more members than here.
