Notice that the price of ham more than doubled between June and September too. :)
As to the others...$350K to replace 100 year old technology doesn't seem excessive to you? Hell, this is supposed to be about stimulating the economy and providing jobs, right? For that money you could hire a food runner and pay him/her $40K/yer (a very nice salary for a food runner) for 6 years. And while I suppose there are doors out there that cost a million and a half dollars to fix (the doors to Ft. Knox? 1.5 mil might be a bargain for fixing those), they are rare and I'm not going to ASSUME the extraordinary case.
*snort* It's too much for 99% of the doors in the country, that's where I'm going to lay my bet. If I'm wrong and it is Ft. Knox, I'll admit it, I've never had a problem admitting it when I'm wrong. I wouldn't, however, hold my breath waiting in this case. Long odds are, I'm not. Cheers!

The ham things, no idea. Entered the description wrong? More to the story? I dunno. Write your congressperson!
As to the other two, what's the problem?
*gets can opener*
