got an interesting question here...
There's this couple, they're both Jewish, and they've been trying to conceive for a very long time, unsuccessfully. Turns out that her eggs are fine, but his sperm just isn't viable
So they went with in-vitro with sperm from a sperm bank and they had beautiful baby girl.
Now, obviously, this baby isn't the husband's biologically, so does this mean that when she turns 12, he can't hug/touch/pat on the back/etc her anymore, that he has to be "shomer negiah" with the daughter he's raised as his own since birth?
of course, if they had a baby boy, this wouldn't be an issue.. but, with a baby girl..
UPD: of course it would be conditional on their level of observance
