I hated Paranormal Activity. What a piece of crap. Don't see it unless you're seeing it for free, and even then I'd recommend having the rewind button ready to get past all the absolute nonsense that breaks up the "hauntings". LAME LAME LAME ( Read more... )

I saw that movie with my 15 year old son. I was totally expecting to get scared out of my head because people who saw it said they slept with the lights on for DAYS.

Kevin and I laughed and giggled through most of the movie. It was just too Blair Witch for me (which I laughed through, as well)

Watching those two was just downright painful. I would have been laughing right along with you.

I was more scared at the beginning than the end. The longer it went, the more ridiculous it got.

Just like Blair Witch, it find it totally unbelievable that someone would care OMG SO MUCH for their camera than they would their girlfriend.

You know what else drove me fucking bonkers?

MICAH.

That name is typically pronounced "MY-kuh". In fact, I've never heard it any other way. And her screaming "MEEKA" the whole movie was fucking obnoxious.

OMG, thank you! I thought it sucked too. The only part I thought was cool was when the chick got dragged out of bed by her foot.

My BF and I cracked jokes the whole movie, and not because we were uncomfortable and scared, heh.

I'm not sure I would have viewed it so critically if the hype hadn't been so crazy.* I knew it wouldn't match up. I'm guessing they had no real advertising budget, so they had to do something to get it out there.

*yeah, I would have

You seriously took the words right out of my mouth. I have said everything you just said several times. Especially about the part where she's dragged by nothing. THAT was creepy.

But "The Scariest Movie in America"? "THIS WILL GIVE YOU NIGHTMARES!"??? Nope.

Overhyped.

I AGREE!! that was my favorite part, too. It was the only part where I had to stop and go "ok, that looked realistic. HOW DID THEY PULL HER OUT BY HER FOOT???"

i had a major crush on that guy though. he's a pretty hilarious boyfriend. i'd date him. if he acted like that IRL instead of just as that character.
