OOC TIME. And help me, I am in need of indepth advice and discussion. I have no issues AT ALL in finding RP and getting RP, in fact I am quite enjoying myself on Zaifar, Yishaq and Zain. For the past 6 months I have been lamenting on my RP issues and wondering why I am not having fun and feeling very neglected, and I realized why - It's the problem ( Read more... )

Well, the main thing to keep in mind is if you decide to axe him completely make sure you're 100% certain that you don't want to play him again as bringing him back a few months down the line will result in a lot of people probably having to retcon things.

It sounds more like you just need a break from him though; easy enough to ship him off somewhere IC and just be OOC when you're on him for farming.

Or, if it's just making in game RP work due to time differences and constraints, you may want to move him to an IM/forum/LJ RP character and race change the in game one into something else.

I'm not sure about the Quel'dorei thing, but that's because I don't know what the WrA community's take on High Elf Rpers is. On Moon Guard, even if they're human avatar RPing as high elf, they tend to be auto-shunned as bads who can't be bothered to create an interesting character without a 'special hook'.

You're right. That is what I am trying to think hard on - "If I axe him and race change him, would I miss Ezidran and want to bring him back?"

But brain is go kaput at that question.

As for the break, I actually took numerous breaks from him and dived into other alts to RP. In turn, my RP partner felt the lack of presence of him soured our RP synergy between our characters. Really depressed me. QQ Perhaps I do need a gigantic -real- break from him. Sometimes I can't help being inspired on him but there is no one to RP with.

Ah you are precisely right on the Quel'dorei part. That was one of the fears I had when I thought about bringing him to Alliance side.

Here too Quel'dorei RPers are auto-shunned as bads. I don't want that. I don't want anymore grievances to completely lock me out from getting RP.

Well, if you don't RP him much in game, but still contact people who DO RP with him over IM or on LJ, it's possible that just RPing him in those mediums would work out and would leave you free to race change him into something more enjoyable in game.

The problem is - I don't think I have anyone who RPs with him over IM or any other mediums. 8( But that's a good suggestion though, if I had people.

I know how you feel!

And... don't move him! D: *cry*

Alaia's only technically run into him once in game, but she and I both loved him! And I am always on. If you want rp just let me know when you're on and I will get someone to Ez. Or drag him to them! Seriously. I never turn down rp unless you're the bad kind of crazy. Which I'm pretty sure you're not.

I'm not sure what your hours are like but I stay home and take care of a kid so apart from a short gap when I'm taking care of supper and getting her ready for bed I'm in game. So my advice is come play with Alaia and lets see if we can help you get things worked out without a faction transfer!

Not that I'm being pushy.

Baaaaw *cries on you too* I apologize, I haven't forgotten about you. Been meaning to catch you but my timezone sucks balls. I'll add you to my friend list for sure!

Ezidran does need new friends and I have been scared because I think I suck at RPing him and I may play him so boringly. Makes me want to take two guns and shoot both of my eyes out.

I'll take a break from him and see how things pan out before I decide. I am still going to continue the charity event because I feel bad a lot of people sent me donations but I am not done clearing them off yet. Thank you for the kind words!

*Hugs* Oh, believe me I understand about crazy time zones. But I tell you what, if they're that crazy and you want to play we could always try something over lj. Or I've got yahoo. I don't want you being bored or sad or lonely and I'm sure we could always find something interesting to do. :)

The little bits I've seen of Ezidran rp I personally thought were great but I know how you feel, I've been in the same boat with Alaia. I took a break from her from mid Dec to May and was fully intending to kill her off. But I missed her and GOD I missed the Horde. Even if she's too boring for everyone else. :p

That aside I check the forums more regularly and have been putting her in a lot of random events/groups, which has helped a -ton-. I've even been trying to convince a few poor people to work up some backstory with me on both her and my paladin (He's awesome, yes he is!).

Maybe adding some new people to his circle or giving him some new endeavors might help a little. Once you've had your break, if you don't decide to move him. :)

I'm trying to mingle and play with new people and friends and it always ends up in failure due to reasons 2, 4, 5, 6 and 8 and left me quite withdrawn. I'd seriously love to break out of it and try to expand my RP network. 8D

And awwww ;-; I'm sorry to hear that. *hugs Alaia* Ezi would love to know more about her. Except he's probably going to say something stupid like: "UH YA REMIND ME OF MY EX-FIANCE" /AWKWARD

But yeah, break for now. .-. Until I feel better about Ezi.

You already know my feelings on the matter ;)

Personally, I think A-side RP is a blast. There's always something interesting going on, and we have our own little council of old man DKs that could use a third bro in their old man DKness (that'd be Macglynn and Nialos... both HUGELY awesome RPers whom I adore beyond words). The farming thing can be difficult, but keep in mind that, if need be, people are always willing to help with gold/mats transfers between factions via the neutral AH... it's the only way mein cowadin has anything in her bank.

Re: HElf RP -- Yeah, it gets a bad name from the likes of Evanyell and other "speshal snowflaeks" but when it's done well, it's awesome. I keep creating and deleting my HElf character because I am indecisive like that, but I think the attitude A-side tends to be that if you're doing it well and/or if people are vouching for you, you could practically play Arthas' daughter and folks would be like "oh ok."

Well. Maybe not that extreme, but contrary to a lot of our words on WCS and popular ( ... )

Thank you for the insight! I am very very terrified of being seen as a baddie RPer but I like to do well in RP and at least know my lore. And would not like people to avoid since DKs already have their own RP stigma with HElf on top of that... I wasn't sure. But thank you and Penna for letting me how A-side thinks!

Trust me, you would be a breath of fresh air A-side for both HElf and DK RPers. I'll admit, some people will look at a flag and say "Hrnn. DK. High Elf. /haet" but most people (at least among those I RP with) tend to RP with someone before deciding, "Mmmmmnope." Lately, simply because of the sheer size of the A-side population boom, the Mmmmnopes have been winning, but we tend to always give people the benefit of the doubt.

Yes, we did. The thing is that the time when you brought up the discussion of Ezidran rarely brought out, I was actually trying to get a break from him and it's fact you enjoy Zain's presence better. Rather than boring you with a character I am trying to take a rest from, I brought Zain often out to entertain since he has a better RP hook for Dynast hence Dynast and Zain got more interaction. As I had told you - In turn I had to put Ezidran on some IC break that he's at least doing something, just doing household stuff and doing alchemy to earn gold ( ... )

If you axe him or go A-side, Pam will be very sad. She has yet to meet the only character I have seen around who could probably change her entire outlook on life. There's a long-winded explanation for my belief on that, but I'm freshly awake and probably couldn't make a lot of sense with it if I tried right now. 8D

I get what you mean by it, though. Without repeating you word-for-word, I've had similar issues with Pamina and feel about the same way you do. I had no intentions of axing her, or going Alliance (again), but I had every intention of shelving her for awhile and saying she'd gone away somewhere until I thought I could maybe get back in touch with her roots. Then this plague business happened and one of her family members caught it..anyway. I know how you feel and I'm an LJ message or an in-game whisper away if you want to QQ alongside me over this business. Or even try to find a solution to the issue at hand, for that matter. <3

Baaaw ;_; I know you're going through the same thing too. But yeah perhaps I am way too desperate to get out of the gutter with Ezidran. I feel unhappy when I couldn't play my favoritest character out more and constantly stashing him back and forth for breaks.

So yeah. ._. /joins sad corner with

That's...-exactly- how I feel. I feel like she's turned into my PVEbot and I transferred off of Ravenholdt so that I wouldn't have to actually segregate my OOC and IC time anymore. Not working much, it seems.

/Sit in corner. Offer chocolate things of goodness and sigh.
