[IC Journal - Zaifar] Thought Process - "The Calm (Day 4)"

It had been a relatively peaceful night yesterday, day was calming too after the vaccines and sedatives, from Dynast, had arrived. The Argent Crusaders went about their own business while Ezidran had been sleeping all day, knocked out cold from the administering of vaccines to keep him from his hallucinating, violent behavior. Zaifar was tending to him, making sure he got his regular dosages of vaccine and sedatives to maintain his cool. So far, the Death Knight had been cooperative and willingly to be medicated.

What he had not known was that his ex-husband, Dynast, had taken away his runeblade Jormungandr last night to prevent the Otherside from infiltrating through his hallucinating moments.

"So far so good," Zaifar observed from the other side of the cell, beside the young blood elf. "I worry about the Captain still - The cursed runeblade in the possession of a different Death Knight does not bode well."

"WELL. GOOD NEWS. I GUESS. NO MORE FUCKING HALLUCINATIONS." The Blood Knight sighed, turning away from the cell. "THE RUNEBLADE WILL BE FINE WITH DYNAST. HE'S A POWERFUL DEATH KNIGHT. LET'S SEE IF THERE'S ANY IMPROVEMENTS.

"Understood." Zaifar agreed, watching Zain leave for his usual duties at Silvermoon City.

Zaifar sat on a wooden chair, by the cell bars and opened a book on physiology studies. He quietly read his book, occasionally glancing towards Ezidran's cell to watch him as his boney fingers brushed against pages and flipped them with meticulous care. The Death Knight stirred from his stupor, feeling light-headed and clutched to side of his head.

"Zaifar...?" Ezidran spoke tiredly, crawling towards the cell bars in his shackles.

"Ah, you are awake. How are you feeling?" Zaifar turned away from his book and smiled towards his comrade.

"Better, I s'pose. No more nightmares... I do not feel the presence of Jormungandr anymore," Ezidran asks, in a hoarse, weak voice. "Where is it?"

Zaifar knew where it was exactly but he promised not to reveal. With skilled acting of a smile and composed voice, he answered with a convincing lie, something he had been so used to doing as a Forsaken.

"It is in possession with the Argent Crusader officers," he offered an reassuring smile. "It is in safe hands. We do not wish for the blade to harm you in your weakest moments when you are not in full control."

"Ah alright, I got'cha... It feels so empty, though," Ezidran groaned, slumping over the bars weakly. "Very tired feeling..."

"Do not worry, Ezidran. We will return it to you once we have cured you of the infection." Zaifar continued to assure the Death Knight expertly.

"Really?"

"Promise, Ezidran. You know no one can handle the blade except you."

Ezidran smiled, contented by the answer. "All right, thanks fer takin' care of me. All the nightmares are gone now. I feel better. An' tell Zain I say thanks too."

There is someone else to thank for, too. Zaifar thought to himself, maintaining his smile to Ezidran.
