well for the mean time I've gotten my computer paritally fixed. added the new power supply and it seems to be working just fine. yet it's shut down on it's own quite randomly. so i'm still left quite unsure of how long i can keep this crapbox running with out it dying on me

Well it's not like I know the situation personally but, my view is just give her some time to sort out her feelings and I'm sure it will be fine...because if you crowd her too much she will get a little annoyed...
