So, I did go to Clothers' Seminar. It was a wonderful day, and I had one of the best times I've ever had at an SCA event. And one of the most tragic.

I'm so sorry. Her shadow stretches even to An Tir, and, while I was not privilged to know her, I know plenty who miss her greatly.

I will so be thinking of all of you tomorrow. I wish I could be there.

It comes back to me now and then that with as many lovely friends as I have here, I miss you guys so very much. Especially at times like this, when sharing memories is about all we can do for each other.

I was not as close to Luci as you all were. But, she was indeed a friend. And she was one of the "old guard", those of us who remember Calontir's founding, and as time goes on we become fewer. And I hate that.

Hugs to you, and all those there tomorrow. I will lift a glass for her here in St. Louis, where we are planning to go to the "Cask and Cod" festival at the local microbrewery--don't know if that would have been her style, but it's still a celebration, and I choose to use it to celebrate her life.

I suspect you did. And even in the unlikely event that you didn't -- I think she knew, because Luci knew everything. :)
