[ History ] :
So apparently Missile is adorable enough to have his own Wikipedia page! No kidding! [ Personality ] :
Missile is a very enthusiastic little doggy! He's very friendly and takes a liking to people very easily, as shown by how he warmed up to Sissel very shortly after they met, and how they worked together later on. When he gets really excited about something, he gets very loud, as shown in-game with his dialogue text suddenly increasing in size. He may bark a lot, but he himself says that it's his way of trying to say "WELCOME!" to people. There's a lot he doesn't know about the human world (he calls telephones "Hellos" and doesn't know what a hostage is,) and he's very naive in general, but he is tough in his own way and selflessly devoted to his owners no matter what.
Yes, he has owners, and he would do anything to protect them, from teaming up with a stranger (hi Sissel) to figuring a way to open the door to his apartment, to remaining as a ghost because it's easier for him to protect them that way. As this shows, he's very loyal to his owners, even beyond death - literally.
Missile is also not easily fazed by the paranormal mayhem in his story, nor is he fazed by his own demise. He just accepts it, acknowledging that he's just an apartment dog and there are lots of things he doesn't know or can't do (his mistress, after all, can walk on two legs and he can't.) To sum it up, Missile is about as unflappable as a thing that cannot flap.
... Unless you bring out a musical Christmas tree star, or something else that makes loud noises, or generally anything that will make him bark, that is. He doesn't scare easily, though, is what I'm trying to say here.
[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
Before death, Missile's main strengths were his loyalty to his owners and his determination - these two things allowed him to try, try, and try again until he was finally able to open an apartment door by himself and get outside to help them. His weaknesses, on the other hand, are that he is a small Pomeranian without opposable thumbs and he normally can't communicate with humans. He also knows very little about the human world (he calls telephones "Hello"s, etc.)
After dying and being revived as a ghost, Missile has become able to travel back four minutes before a person's death in order to try and save them with the "ghost tricks" he gained. In his case, he is able to swap the places of two similar-looking objects (replacing a falling leaf-shaped boulder with an actual leaf, for example.) He has a greater reach than his friend Sissel does, meaning that he is able to reach out to objects that Sissel cannot. He is also able to communicate with others who have died, no matter what species they are.
His weaknesses as a ghost are that he is intangible (can't interact with the world normally) and can't manipulate objects the same way Sissel does. Yes, he can swap them and yes, he's got a longer reach, but that's it. He can't, say, open or close a door, or ring a bell, or anything like that.
[ Other Important Facts ] :
Seeing as Missile is technically a dog, and can only communicate with humans or other species when they've died, there...are going to be translation issues. Yes.
[ Sample ] :
Missile's first thought upon seeing this new place and all of its new people could be best summed up as: "WELCOME!" However, to anyone who heard him, it was vocalized as a great deal of barking.
His second thought upon taking it all in was that this was not the apartment, nor was it anywhere in the city that he recognized. His third thought was a much, much more distressing one: he didn't see Miss Lynne or Miss Kamila anywhere! He didn't even see his friend Sissel! This was incredibly distressing for him.
Perhaps they were nearby, though? Yes, all he'd need to do was sniff and--
And...
Maybe this place was just really big, and they were somewhere else! Well, then, he'd just have to find them, wouldn't he?
So, Missile took off, running down the street as quickly as his little legs would let him.
