College Ball

Well, blinding_voip's post got me excited because it reminded me that college baseball season is just around the corner. NCAA D-I baseball starts on Friday! I'm declaring it a holiday, taking off work, and heading to College Station to take part in Texas A&M's Opening Weekend. I can almost smell it.

I missed last season when my Bulls made a run for a Big East championship, so I cannot wait for Friday when they kick things off.

Cool. Did ya'll make the tournament last year?

Nope. Sadly (or not) I took off last spring for an internship in the Eastern League. I'm excited to be back in school, though, since I'm that chick who is always at every home game and is loved by all the players' moms.

The internship sounds fun. But I understand being away... I don't get to Olsen Field as often as I'd like. Just Saturdays and Sundays, mostly.

Though I have not followed them before this season, I am extremely excited to see my Louisville Cardinals start! They're ranked in the top 25 of most polls and picked to win the Big East but I just want to see them do their best. I saw a couple games last season when I was down for Orientation at the University of Louisville and I can't wait to follow this team! :)

Cool. I didn't start following my team until my freshman year, either. And even then, I only went to one game. I loved it so much and had so much fun that I wanted to go to more. But it was late in the season and there weren't any games left before school ended. I wish I had known earlier so that I could have gone to more games. :)
