Well I am from Texas, so howdy right back at ya'! I always get excited when people say "howdy."

hee, yeah, that may be something I picked up from my best friend who actually lived in Dallas for a while when she was little. I lay the blame on her completely. :D

It's the official greeting of my school. Walking around campus, people will just say "howdy" to you. You're expected to say "howdy" back. And every big gathering begins with the speaker saying "howdy" and the crowd shouting "howdy" back. It's awesome.
