it depends on what you mean by it. Christians are always hypocritical, but the religion is not.

well, the whole thing of 'saving others souls by preaching the gospel' is a bunch of bull. the reason people do that is so they can get into heaven, not to svae other peoples souls. it is a selfish religion, and everyone looks out for number one.

no no that's not the way it works. You dont even have to witness to anyone your whole life. you still go to heaven, as long as you beleive in jesus and who he is and what he did. If you really have a desire to know god then it will come naturally to witness to others, but no one can just do enough good deeds to get into heaven.

but someone can believe in jesus and what he did, do horrible things, and still get into heaven?

touche, my dear. let us not forget those asian heathens that the 'christian' europeans forgot to forcefully convert. i may be wrong, but i'm pretty sure ignorance isn't going to send those people to hell.

ya exactly. They can do horrible things, but if they do them and don't acknowledge that they're wrong or ask forgiveness then you have to wonder if they really beleived at all.

What I never understood about Christianity is do they believe that everyone who died before Christ is in hell? And what about babies who die and were never baptized? I know that the Catholics used to believe that they went to Purgatory, but they no longer believe in it.

exactly. there are all these little things that ad up to big huge gaping holes ina religion, which is why i pretty much have adopted a psuedo-hindu religious belief. basically ghandi's.

Well, maybe you should ask someone who knows, instead of changing your religious beliefs based on unanswered questions. Of course, unless you never were Christian. Either way, I'm sure someone has the answers who could fill the gaping holes. And I agree- many Christians are hypocrites, but you shouldn't deem the religion likewise. The Bible has never been proved wrong, from architectural descriptions to predictions of events. Everything in it stands true to this day. This makes a person wonder why anyone could believe that a religion whose holy scriptures are contained in a book written thousands of years ago that remains entirely factual today is hypocritical.
