Happiness is not a reasonable goal for 2008. But I plan to be very accomplished in other ways.

Soon after arriving in LAX I saw a morbidly obese women slumped on the floor by some drinking fountains, eating a giant taco salad. And I thought, "ah, America."

I will be back in my ancestral suburban Chicago home from December 19th to December 27th.

Started writing a symphony, the completion of which is one goal out of three for my life.

It is a constant struggle to remember with any accuracy the meaning of words. I especially do most of my learning through imitation and repetition, and find myself largely able to appear to know what I am saying without actually knowing what I am saying. I'm writing a short story about a man who stops having orgasms.

It's not particularly based on life experience.

I have a pile of blank postcards. I was thinking I could draw pictures on them and send them to people. Would anybody like one? Leave me your address.

Sometimes people will say that they are shibaraku busy.

This means: Leave me alone.
