Blackberry patches?

Hi!

This is a seasonal request from someone who hasn't lived in our fair city long. It must be berry-picking season for blackberries, right?

I don't want to pay for a farm if indeed a blackberry farm exists, so do any canny locals happen to know where to find good blackberry patches? I have the itch to make jam.

The steps between Norway St and Plunket St. But I've never seen enough blackberries to make more than a few grams of jam.

Actually I live on those steps, how coincidental! Yep, we've got a few bushes around, but not too many - I'm hoping there are thicker patches somewhere. Thank you though!
