[Canada has been up a good portion of the morning, in the kitchen. Which... in and of itself, isn't unusual at all. Except, while her excessive cooking is usually restricted to making sure the household gets fed and is at least close to happy with her being there, today she's prepared large batches of cookies to share

[After he's had time to rest (from... whatever hard work he did, she doesn't know but that's okay!) and everything's ready and she really can't put it off any longer, she goes to crouch beside the sofa, their faces at about an even level, and tentatively rest a hand on his arm.]

[Yes, she's trying to wake him up, but it'll be worth it, she swears.]
