A: 1447 Mitchell Road, early morning

[Considering what happened the day before, Canada wasn't about to let that potentially happen to her household again. She didn't sleep much anyway, but this morning she's up particularly early, getting to the milk before Holland can and immediately downing a bottle. The rest she tosses out, ignoring the way her ( Read more... )

[Finding Canada dead when he'd gone downstairs that day was a shock. The worry he had was the same; when Hilbert died, he'd come back a drone and so far had never recovered. Even though it hadn't happened to him. . . he was worried for Canada. He'd set her carefully on the sofa in the basement, set a sheet over her, and hoped he'd see her in the morning.

He'd hardly slept, but natural tiredness combined with his injuries from the droning had him passing out in the early hours of the morning . . . until he heard some familiar sounds. He sits up blearily, looking at the door. . .

. . . the door. . .

Have Holland stumbling down the stairs frantically after you, Canada. He grabs her forcefully from behind.]

[Canada lets out a little squeak of distress at being grabbed like that. She may have expected confrontation when she heard him get up, but not that. She's just at the front door, ready to open it, and twists a little in his grip, trying to make him let go. She doesn't raise her voice, though.]

What are you doing?

[He sighs, then pulls her really close and hugs her tight. First things first; he's glad she's back.]

[Oh. It's not as if she can scold him for this. She wraps her arms around him, giving him a squeeze back.]

[Hilda hasn't done much speaking since yesterday. Frankly, she can hardly manage it. She's at the kitchen table, watching Canada cook, even thought she isn't sure she can eat anything right now. Cinccino is in her lap, and Hilda just keeps pettig the Pokemon. Samurott, as always, is right beside Hilda.]

[So that none of the pets are left out, Kumarie's helping Canada with breakfast, nosing at cupboards and the refridgerator to get things out. It's a double effort that produces a mug of warm (not hot) tea with honey in it, which Canada then brings over while Kumarie steals a pancake.]

Here, this should make your throat feel a little better.

[Hilda smiles and drinks slowly--her throat is still sore, but at least it's not as torn up as before, as far as how she feels.]

Thanks.

[It's spoken in a whisper.]

No problem. I just wish I could do more. [She gives Hilda a tiny smile and pats the top of her head affectionately before going back to the stove.]

[Lucas responds quickly.]

Miss Canada?

I'm fine, I fixed myself after he left. Is he back to normal now?

He is. Our housemate, Hilda, drank the milk yesterday. He's still sore, but I think he's fine, overall.

Drinking the milk turns them back to normal...?

[Lucas will pause for a second to let this digest.]

What about the two of you? Is there anyone else in the house? I tried to get the gun away, but...

It does. And I think our theory is that drinking it early on will pre-emptively keep us all normal. Just be careful if you go to drink it, okay?

As for us... ah, he put up a bit of a struggle. The drone boy here was out, thankfully, and he ran out of bullets eventually.
