The man in the Underground

Since almost right after I returned from my trip to England, a memory of that time has haunted me. It's a memory of a man I saw begging in an Underground station, in one of the tunnels. I imagine he was homeless and paid his two pounds, or whatever, for the right to get through the turnstiles, stay warm for the day, and ask for money
