A Challenge

My building is near a retirement complex (or maybe an assisted living facility? I should know this...) outside of which a number of cars park in makeshift spots along the curb. The other day I walked past this building on my way to the library and sitting there next to the curb, in among the parked cars, was an empty motorized wheelchair. My challenge to you, O Readers, is to tell me the True Story Behind the Scene. Why was the motorized wheelchair parked outside the home? Was it being used as a getaway vehicle for a massive Jell-O robbery occurring at that very moment? Did a seemingly mobility impaired person flee the premesis in the chair only to jump up, discard the feigned disability and pursue a new career as a go-go dancer or marathoner? I must know! It could not possibly be that the chair was simply broken and waiting for the next trash pick up. That would, you see, be a waste of all your creative talents. Narrative? Poetry? Digital artwork? All good! Show me what you've got, Dear Readers. Operators are standing by.

Edit: Also, happy birthday wellesleypiffy! Good luck on your final tonight! I just read an announcement that a certain school is going to start giving its final exams before the December break starting in the 2009-2010 school year. How's THAT for a present?
