Spring is finally here and spiders are starting to come out. This tiny one was hiding in a half-broken fence plank. It was really tiny - about 7mm (0.3 inch) and I have no idea what king of spider it is.

Definitely a Salticid (Jumping Spider). Not sure of species. But very cute!

I guess it is cute because of the big head to small body ratio. Just look at mammal babies for start! :D

However, this is a darn interesting spider. No idea what specie it is.

It's young so it kind of ....doesn't look like a 'true' spider but something arachnid related to spiders like a sunspider?
