HELP

Who is the photographer who dresses up like specific groups of people (sometimes integrating herself into their lives) and then takes pictures of herself with them? This is recent work, within the last 10 years, and some of the groups have been tourists, business people, lesbians, the elderly, etc. HELP!

No...although she does similar work. As does Gillian Wearing.

This woman is Asian-American and shoots her stuff with a point-and-shoot, very much trying to imitate an informal "hey we're friends lets take pictures of ourselves" vibe. She works a lot with stereotypes. I know all this crap about her but I can't fucking remember her name or find anything with her name on it. It's so damn frustrating.

Dammit. I know who you're talking about -- I've seen some of her work.

But god. There is just NO safe way to google Asian-American stereotype photography, is there?
