I don't know if she's really 12, if she is and keeps up her lessons, she may have a future. She reminds me of Charlotte Church, frankly, but with a slightly more developed voice.

Well, she definitely looks older than twelve...

Yes, and that's what bothered me. She looks more like in her early teens. Of course, I'm 20 and people still think I'm about 14. I'm only 152 centimetres...

Wow. Er, I finally had the guts to watch this and... *GAG*

Did you see her semi-final performance?

"...And the endlessness tha--CHOOO--feeeeeel!"

Wow. Just... wow.

And you can't even hear her lower notes even WITH a mic when she sings Ave Maria. Wow. Holy shit, wow.

I just... omg. Wow. I feel sorry for all the people in the audience who think this is good. *HEADDESK*

Yeah, they don't know shit thanks to Jenkins and her posse LOL. My dad and mum say I sound like a snob--and this from teachers who used to sing! :O
Sometimes I wonder how I sound when I say (er, type) things like that, but I just can't stand people like Katherine Jenkins being applauded and acclaimed by the masses. Simon Cowell, X Factor, etc, think they know what they're doing when it comes to classical artists, and they do--but only from a consumer and marketing perspective. They know how to make money and know people will spend their dosh on crap because someone told them to do so. Real, honest to God opera isn't popular with young people like us--the teenagers and twenty-somethings--so to make it more accessibile, the corporate machine adds pop beats and techno shit, as that's what Beyonce and whomever else do to their music. GOD, what fools these mortals be! /rant over/
