Planning to visit April, Tinker's surrogate mother

Jillian decided that they'd go disguised as Girl Scouts selling cookies.

Louise wasn't sure they needed disguises. And she was fairly positive that they hadn't needed to actually join the Girl Scouts in order to obtain the uniforms. She suspected that Jillian secretly just wanted to join but wouldn't admit it.

Very proud -- yet alarmed. :D

I was wondering -- are they only related to Tinker on the Dufae side or did they also some how latch on to any of Esme's extra eggs as well? Twin full sister Tinkers would be .... interesting (in the Chinese curse sense). :D

Fun to watch but maybe not so much to 'watch over'. :)

So looking forward to this book -- do you have a publish date yet? Not sure why but I've just re-read Tinker through to Elfhome twice in a row -- and now working on the third. :)

*also Kobo has "Brother's Price" & three of the Ukiah books up for sale.

i think their father said frozen EMBRYOS, so they'd be full sisters most likely.

Pops may have been lying. We can presume that they are probably some of the Wood Sprites, from the title.

I admit that the most likely earth source of Wood Sprite genes is Dufae, but whatever work produced Tinker might not have exhausted the supply he provided.

I also admit that the destructive tendencies might well speak to being closely related to Tinker, and to Tinker's female gene donor also.

Oh if they are little Tinkers that would be a way for her to get the gate to work with help from earth. Oh Oh the possibilities that would open up.

If they are almost 9 at the time of the rest of the books, that could be a stretch since they haven't had the quantum physics education Tinker's acquired. They just blew themselves up with a bag of flour. However if this is backstory and they are older at the main book time anything could happen.

More broadly, they don't have any of the benefits of a Timothy Bell education. So, probably their project management and general science skills will have to be weaker than Oil Can and Tinker's.

Tinker's, what, eighteen in Tinker? They probably can't have been born before her, so we are talking about a maximum of nine or so years before the events of Tinker. (I figure it can't have been too long before the last shut down, as these types seem likely to find some things out in their search, and unlikely to keep a low profile over that amount of time. I worry for them.) I think early childhood can be hugely important. I dunno how much they are likely to change over the amount of time left.

didn't one of the earlier snippets say something about Tinker?
