Oh I like it. And it rings about right about a newbie in Japan.
I'm trying to remember which OMG hits I got struck with in my first few days.
My first earthquake was one - waking up in my hotel room and seeing the Tokyo tower sway like a metronome. I thought it was jetlag and booze and was ever so relieved when my coworkers next day asked me "Did you feel the earthquake?"
Also Akihabara (as it used to be 20 years ago, not the cleaned up version of today).
Being taken to the really really expensive restaurant and eating crustacean sashimi with the front of said crustacean still moving
Bizarre English signs/ads that mislead you to thinking that you can get away with not speaking Japanese
