Now I have been offered a job by a telemarketing company that pays $20 an hour but then also recieved a "maybe, we'll call you later (if we feel like it)" from Tree of Life, which probably will pay

Go tree of life. The telemarketing company SAY they'll pay you $20 and hour, but really they mean only if your sell something every hour, oh and by the way you're on a training wage of $15 for the first three months, oops we forgot to pay you on time. DODGY BEWARE!
