Ganked from asinpterodactyl!

Step 1: Put your music player on shuffle.
Step 2: Post the first line (or first and second line if it's completely impossible) from the first 30 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing. I'm going to jump on the bandwagon and pick lines from any location in the songs to make things more interesting. Otherwise, #2, #14, and #26 ( Read more... )

Diana Ross didn't do "I Will Survive," but really, what else has Gloria Gaynor done? So I'll give it to you. ^_- 7, 10, and 30 are also right.

You should know 15, by the way. I'm not sure about any of the others that haven't been guessed, but I know you know that one.

I figured out what it was, but couldn't remember who it was by (and can't guess now because I googled it).

20) "Rainbow Connection" by ... Kermit?

26) "Into the West" By Annie Lennox and Howard Shore

Jawohl! I think Jim Henson wrote the actual song, but eh. It's Kermit. ;)

Jim Henson was a genius, but he didn't write "Rainbow Connection". It's by Paul Williams (who actually has a cameo as a piano player in the Muppet Movie) and Kenny Ascher.

You have excellent taste in music!!!

Most of the ones I know have been guessed already, but I'll take a stab at some of the others...

1. Flagpole Sitta, by, uh, Harvey Danger?

17. Is this "Who Put The Bomp In The Bomp-Shi-Bomp-Shi-Bomp?"?

27. Euphoria (Firefly) by Delerium.

Correct on all counts, including my excellent taste in music. ^_-

Holy crud, you got 27! I didn't expect anyone to get 27! The only reason I know it is because mordelis used it as a character theme in our Iron Kingdoms game and I thought it was pretty.

I'm a big Delerium fan. If you like "Euphoria (Firefly)", you might like some of their other stuff. This one, for example. It's called "Aria", and it's one of the favorites, in part because the whole thing's in Middle English.

Jawohl! (Huh, it was the Gary Jules cover. I didn't even know Tears for Fears did it originally.)

I figured it was the cover, which is infinitely better than the original, but I couldn't come up with Gary Jules' name. For some reason, I also have a tendency to think his last name is Jiles rather than Jules.
